I would like to add a block in the hamburger menu on the top right, but I would like to place it at the beginning of the menu, and not a the bottom as the plugin outlet allows.
I tried overriding the hamburger-menu.hbs with a plugin, but the menu becomes completely empty.
Anybody else succeeded in doing this?
Thanks.

Hi, sorry about the long title, but I've recently come across a bug in Discourse. The title pretty much explains what the bug is, here are the steps to reproduce it (also known as repro steps):
Quote the main post on a topic.
Copy the text that shows up in your reply when the post is quoted.
Delete the post and make a new one that isn't replying to the main post.
Paste the new quote into your reply and press the reply button.
Scroll up to the top post. It should say that it has one or more replies. If you tap the button that says __ replies, you should see your post there.
This isn't intentional, is it? Can someone confirm that it is, indeed, a bug?
Also, I've seen this on both our forums and Discourse Meta, I just tested it on Try Discourse.

I'm trying to override
exception.hbs
from a site customization, like so:<script type='text/x-handlebars' data-template-name='exception'> <div class="container"> <div class="error-page"> <div class="reason">Oops, looks like we flew into a wall!</div> <div class="url"> {{i18n 'errors.prev_page'}} <a {{bind-attr href=requestUrl}} data-auto-route="true">{{requestUrl}}</a> </div> <div class="desc"> {{#if networkFixed}} <i class="fa fa-check-circle"></i> {{/if}} {{desc}} </div> <div class="buttons"> {{#each buttonData in enabledButtons}} {{d-button icon=buttonData.icon action=buttonData.action label=buttonData.key class=buttonData.classes}} {{/each}} {{conditional-loading-spinner condition=loading}} </div> </div> </div> </script>
(in reality there's more customization I have planned, but this is just where I am right now)
Anyways, for some reason none of the local handlebars variables are accessible so the "Try Again" button etc. don't work. Is it possible to get at 'em? It seems weird that they wouldn't be there, so maybe this is a bug? I tested by rendering
{{reason}}
Edit: never mind, the default fails too when I use
/exception
to test, but works on other pages. Feel free to lock this, I'm just an idiot

I have just noticed that in the MusicBrainz’s community I am a member of (page source code says it’s
Discourse 1.6.0.beta1
.
I do have the setting “Open all external links in a new tab” set on my account ().When I go to one of my posts where I have later added a link on, clicking its links opens a new tab but clicking those same links in the History popup (the upper‐right 1 ✎ pencil icon), they will replace current window, not open a new tab.
() on a side‐note, it seems that I had to completely reload or logout/login for that setting to completely take effect, when I set it in the beginning.
Sorry if it has already been said, I have looked it up first with no match.

Continuing the discussion from “Open all external links in a new tab” option does not work for links in “History” popup:
Once I have activated “Open all external links in a new tab” here on meta today (yes, I have pressed the save button ):
- It did not take effect immediately
- It did not take effect on site reload
- It did not take effect after logging out and in
- I will now try to erase my cache completely and cookies

I have a group and want to automatically add users via email address domain name, using the field:
Users who register with an email domain that exactly matches one in this list will be automatically added to this group:
I type source.institute, and hit the save button.
It gets rejected with a modal popup, saying:
'source.institute' is not a valid domain.
Thanks for your help!

The plan is to pay 2-3 technical writers in our community to each write a high quality tutorial for one of Discourse's import scripts. I'm putting up this poll so our users can vote for whichever tutorial they think should be written first.
Some of the forums listed already have a dedicated tutorial, but votes on these are still counted. We'll interpret that as "it's in need of an update".
Please vote on the forum you'd like to see an extensive tutorial for:

Hi
This is just a minor issue, but I got someone asking me about this, so:
If I search for something via the widget and press return, I get to the search result page. When I now click on the search widget again, it shows the search term and a spinner but I'd guess I does not actually load anything.
Also, when I change the search term in the full-page-search text field, the search term in the widget stays the same. Not sure if this is actually a problem. It looked a bit confusing.

I have changed the names of all the badges. Problem is that when user receives the badge and receives the notification on the notification box in the right upper corner, the default name of the badge displays instead of the custom name that I created for the badges.
Is this a bug?

Just wondering: how would one do that? There is no such flag yet, though I can imagine it would be useful. I suppose you would use the 'other' flag and state a reason?

Hi guys!
I've installed Discourse through Vagrant for development purposes, using the provided box.
I've tried to download a backup, but I've received an erron on browser - "Failed to load "
ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE.
On my discourse logs, I've found:
If anyone knows if this error occurs only in development or what I have to do to fix it, I'll appreciate the help.
Thanks,

So I have quite a few accepted PRs, but I'm not seeing how these are being assigned.
I did verify that my email address here matches the one I use on GitHub.
I'm wondering if I need to re-login using GitHub here on Meta to refresh some data. As I did recently alter one of my GitHub email addresses.

Did you change your policy with respect to minor version updates on master?
Just being curious - you used to have only some security updates in minor versions on stable, but it seems that you moved a LOT of stuff in 1.5.1 this time.
