We installed 1.7.0.beta4 on a Digital Ocean droplet. Everything is working great, except for signup via Facebook and Google Logins (haven't tried others). The user authorization process works fine (Sign Up --> Redirect to Google or Facebook --> User clicks Approve --> Redirects back to Discourse), and the Discourse app is added successfully to the Google / Facebook user accounts; but once user returns to Discourse, this error message is displayed, and no user is created in Discourse:
"Sorry, there was an error authorizing your account. Perhaps you did not approve authorization?"
There's nothing in browser debug Console/Network that suggests what the problem is. Here's a snapshot of the Console output after a Facebook sign up attempt:
It looks as though the percentages for polls are based on flooring the results. I understand from this topic that this may be to ensure that they add up to 100%. Problem is, when you have multi-option polls, it starts looking a bit strange.
there are some strings that I translated using the customize -> text about badges. some of them are applied and some not.
I thought it's the same as other not-translatable strings, but in this case it's not.
for example in this string, i'd forgotten to translate "information" at first, and I corrected it later. the first translation is applied but not the second one:
I also rebuild the forum 2 times, in order to be sure that it's not the caching that hinders the translation.
the only point in the translation of the second part is that I have done it when the internet connection was slow. as a result saving the translations was so slow. but when I look at the string in the customize -> text, it's translated.
it seems something has locked the translatable state of those strings! how can i make those strings translatable again?
Is there any way to mark a group message as "waiting for a reply from customer/other party" that would show in the group overview?
Our situation is like this: We use Archive when something is handled, but when it's replied to (by us) and is waiting for the customer to reply we keep it open so we can follow up later if needed. The "last post" indicator won't work because it also changes for whispers and invites.
I'm a bit confused about this, I suspect (hope?) it's a bug because it seems quite bad!
One of my staff members noticed that if you google for his email address, our forum's about page comes up. If you look at the google cached version it shows this (I've blacked out email addresses but each black blob is the user's email address):
I've checked the actual about page though (https://forum.skysaga.com/about) and it doesn't seem to contain that information anywhere (the only email address on that page is Silventus@RadiantWorlds.com).
Does anyone have any idea how Google got these email addresses and how to prevent it happening in future?
Trying to have a details section inside an existing details section. In the preview when composing it appears correctly, but does not work correctly when the post is cooked.

We have need to not only search the forums, but the attachments as well. Currently enjoying a 2 week preview of the product, liking it immensely, but just found out that search did not yield any results from any of the sample .pdf's we uploaded.
It would be incredibly nice if discourse could index and search .pdf formats, as well as other standard office-type or text formats.
Could you please add this to the upcoming feature list? Much appreciated!!
I've been checking out using Discourse for my small writers group. We need to be able to upload Word docs (.doc and ideally .docx as well) and .pdf files to share our work. I've been searching and see that these file types cannot be uploaded in Sandbox, Meta, and the default settings, but would we be able to set up our own Discourse board to allow those file types?
I'm developing a web app, and I'd love to use Discourse as my forums / community discussion platform. One of my main requirements though is that the forum should be able to be opened in an iframe docked to the side of my UI, so that users can browse tutorials, talk to other people, or contact support all within the comfort of the app itself. This is a huge win for UX, and because Discourse is responsive and mobile friendly, a small iframe should work well for this use case. It seems like this would be an awesome feature for Discourse that many people might use.
So I wanted to ask the maintainers and folks here, is this a feature that you would be open to a PR for? Would you consider adding this feature? Are there any issues with that solution that was proposed that would need to be dealt with?
Yesterday I used this feature on the Latest topics list to delete a couple of topics. I hadn't noticed anything wrong till I checked our staff action logs and noticed my actions were not logged. Also I couldn't find the topics on the /deleted-posts page of the topics' owner.
Luckily I visited one of the topics before I deleted them, so I went to my browsing history and re-visited the topic - the topic's body was in red, but my avatar, the trash icon and the deletion date were missing.
I tried searching for this many times but didn't find anyone that asked about it. In our community, things like post count, likes received, join date, etc are important to members and the respect they feel that they have. I believe this also increases engagement
Is there a way to show this under the avatars after every post instead of having to hover over their username? I imagine it in the order below.
